Getting Started (a.k.a. Discovery)

To successfully deploy your Ceridian Dayforce HCM / WFM solution, you must accurately communicate your unique company requirements. Whether Ceridian is deploying Dayforce using the “D4S” or “Activate” methodology, you want your implementation team to clearly understand your unique organizational structure and requirements.

Dayforce flexibility comes from its ability to be configured to meet complex and varied requirements. While some items are fairly straightforward and can be extracted directly from your legacy system, others deserve a careful review as they can impact how your system ultimately is accessed throughout the organization and how easily reports can be created.

Wise Consulting successfully guides client teams to better understand the Dayforce solution and confidently make decisions. This step is the one every client says is ‘invaluable’!

Synchronizing Work (a.k.a. Project Management)

Your Wise project manager will partner with Ceridian to identify and document the assignments and deadlines for your internal team. Using our robust SmartSheet project management toolset, each person within your organization has visibility into their assigned tasks and all associated notes and previous discussions/decisions. Progress reports and issues logs are all maintained in this central repository streamlining communications and allowing tasks to be completed efficiently and on time.

Gaining Confidence (a.k.a. Testing)

As the Ceridian team configures Dayforce, your team will turn to test case development to prepare for unit and parallel testing. Unit testing refers to an item-by-item review to make sure each component is configured properly and is producing the expected result when tested individually. Further end-to-end and parallel tests will validate whether all of the components are working well together. Both require intensive participation from your team.

Wise Consulting brings comprehensive support to design and develop test cases, coach your team through the unit and parallel testing (or take on the heavy lifting if you are resource challenged), interact with your implementation team for remediation, document results, and provide assurance your system is ready for “go live”!

Making Friends With The New System (a.k.a. Training)

Ensuring both the ‘heavy’ and ‘casual’ users are ready when the system is launched requires planning, a lot of communication, and perfect timing. By coordinating with your internal training department and making the most of Ceridian’s available training options, the Wise team will fill in any gaps in content or delivery for your chosen training path.

The Payoff (a.k.a. Go Live!)

Hold up! Before you can go live with your new system, data from your legacy solution will be mapped and converted over. Depending upon timing, this may include quarter and year-to-date balances. Validating all data is critical. Failure to balance “to the penny” to your old system and tax returns could be devastating. Just one more thing on the “to do” list! By partnering with Wise Consulting, we will guide you in the right direction, leaving you feeling confident and very well educated about your new system.

Should you need further hands-on support for subsequent payrolls, Wise’s Payroll Support / SWAT resources will seamlessly take over and stay by your side until everyone is comfortable and equilibrium has returned.
